Pig & Hen: Localization for Explosive Growth
Pig & Hen: Localization for Explosive Growth
What?
From a small Dutch brand for sailors to an international player in 25 countries - Pig & Hen has experienced impressive growth since its launch in 2013. What started as a hobby of one of the founders to make bracelets from ship rope, grew into a successful lifestyle brand with annual growth figures in the double digits. To accelerate this growth and scale internationally, there was a need for a strategic partner who could elevate the e-commerce activities.
How?
We developed a complete localization strategy for the nine main markets. This not only meant translating the website but also expanding customer service and optimizing marketing campaigns per country. The transition from WooCommerce to Magento 2 provided an improved technical foundation. By combining local presence with targeted online marketing through Google Ads and social media, we created a strong international market position.

Online & Offline Synergy

The mix of online and offline has a reinforcing effect. The presence of physical retailers provides more trust for online shoppers. We see this reflected directly in the sales figures: as soon as we connect retailers somewhere, online sales also increase. By combining local presence and targeted online marketing through, among others, lookalike campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, for example, online revenue in America has increased sixfold.
